University of South Florida Alumni Association 2016 Alumni Tours Open To All Travelers
Tampa, Fla. (PRWEB) July 02, 2015 -- The USF Alumni Association released its 2016 Bull Explorers travel itinerary, which includes “bucket list” destinations and experiences available to USF alumni, students and friends of the university.
“On our Thanksgiving trip, travelers experience exclusive indoor viewing of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” said Christina Cameron, director of the Bull Explorers Alumni Travel program. “No fighting the crowds and shivering in the cold on the street. And after, everyone goes to see the Rockettes at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. It’s a great program for families.”
While the New York City trip is designed purely for leisure and fun, on other tours education is paramount, with featured lecturers and local guides whose expert commentary puts what travelers are viewing into perspective.
“Travel is an important element of a lifelong pursuit of education,” Cameron said. “Most of our tours include access to sites of cultural or historical significance. For instance, our Symphony on the Blue Danube river cruise includes visits to five UNESCO heritage sites. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or it’s your first time, that’s extraordinary.”
Other tours on the 2016 itinerary include a dream golf getaway featuring a day at the Masters Tournament; a 10-day history lover’s tour of the Old West via national parks and lodges; and a breathtaking deluxe visit to Machu Picchu, Cusco and the Sacred Valley.
Trips offered through the Bull Explorers program are open to all USF alumni and friends of the university.
