Uniweld Products, Inc. Conducts Seminar Hosted By Formex At Institucion Universitaria Pascual Bravo in Medellin, Columbia
Medellin, Columbia (PRWEB) December 14, 2015 -- Uniweld's Authorized Distributor in Colombia, Formex has teamed with Institucion Universitaria Pascual Bravo which was founded to educate and qualify individuals to excel in their careers to improve their quality of life. Pascual Bravo offers programs in a variety of industries, such as automotive, industrial engineering, carpentry, electrical, foundry, metallurgy, welding and HVAC, to name a few. In addition to classes in theory, labs which provide hands on experience in the various fields which are offered at Pascual Bravo.
In Pascual Bravo’s HVAC lab, Richard Apodaca of Uniweld, conducted a seminar on new technologies and tools which enhance the productivity and at the same time, realize a significant savings to the HVAC technicians’ bottom line. Loss of refrigerant on brazed joints is a common occurrence when the copper joint is not heated properly. The HVAC technicians in attendance at the seminar were shown how to improve their brazing techniques using Uniweld’s multi-flame Cap’n Hook® tips. Cap’n Hook transmits uniform heat around the 360º of the copper tube, thus ensuring that proper heat is achieved to realize a perfect braze.
HVAC technicians were also shown how to avoid serious oxidation and scale build up on the inside of the copper tubes when brazing with Uniweld’s NitroVue™ nitrogen flow indicator. By not having a proper flow of nitrogen in the copper lines when brazing, the resulting scale which forms can block expansion valves and affect other system components. Using the NitroVue™, the technician ensures a proper flow of nitrogen to displace the oxygen to eliminate oxidation and the formation of scale.
The attendees were also shown Uniweld’s new technology with EZ Turn™ Anti-Blowback fittings. Easing hose connections to access valves under pressure and eliminating refrigerant leaks during the process as well as refrigerant burns, was welcome news to the attendees.
