Untapped Water Systems Unveils Award-Winning Technology the AIR-X
New York, NY (PRWEB) December 01, 2014 -- Untapped Water Systems, a provider of water machines that revolutionize how people get sustainable water at a personal and industrial scale, announces the launch of a crowdfunding campaign to aid areas of water scarcity and unsafe water sources through the utilization of the AIR-X, a machine that creates pure drinking water from the air’s natural humidity.
UWS’ (Untapped Water Systems’) AIR-X atmospheric water generator works by mimicking our planet’s natural water cycle. As moisture-laden air is drawn into our water generator, it passes through four separate filtration features which draw out particles of dust, pollen and bacteria. The generator is then rapidly cooled to convert that moisture into 5 gallons of pure liquid water that are 99 percent bacteria-free and actively pH balanced.
“We knew that our air AIR-X technology was an easy and safe way to draw water out of the atmosphere and right into a home, office or even a drought-restricted area abroad,” said Chad Ordoyne, UWS co-founder and engineer. “We needed to make a machine that was reliable, affordable, energy efficient, green and multi-purpose that creates ultra-clean water exceeding EPA & WHO global drinking water standards.”
Access to clean drinking water is becoming a critical challenge due to constant environmental disasters, which have further polluted the global water supply with heavy metals, pesticides, fertilizers and pharmaceuticals. The entire state of California is suffering from a drought for the first time in 15 years, leaving the state’s total water reservoir storage at 36 percent capacity. If below-average rainfall continues in 2015, "more people will feel the direct results of the drought in our cities," Mark Cowin, director of the California Department of Water Resources, told the Los Angeles Times.
While UWS is fulfilling purchases orders, children are dying of thirst, cholera and other waterborne diseases. Crops are being destroyed and water reserves are at all-time lows. UWS needs additional funding to create machines at cost to send to cities, villages and campos that don’t have access to clean drinking water. These funds will also allow UWS to begin production on their 30,000 gallon-per-day industrial machine that can be shipped to farms in California and Texas, combatting the effects of the drought. The AIR-X is a major solution to combat this issue.
