Upscale Riverfront Private Resort and Event Center Breaks Ground Near Idaho Springs, Colorado
Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 29, 2015 -- A brand new indoor/outdoor five star, private event center, resort and amphitheater is underway just five minutes south of Idaho Springs. The resort, named Blackstone Rivers Ranch, will open for business, hosting weddings in 2016. The best part is that it is only thirty-five minutes from Denver, and an amazing option for those wanting to host an upscale mountain event, without the expense and long drive to the ski resorts on the western slope.
The main focus for this venue will be high-end riverfront weddings and private parties. The location will also host events such as: wine and food tastings; leadership and survival camps for children and adults; fitness and wellness retreats; outdoor and wilderness sport experiences; family reunions; and business conferences. The natural amphitheater will allow for smaller music events and concerts, plays, and other exhibitions, with a focus on the arts. Think Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison Colorado, only much smaller, much quainter, and much more private. It is truly a location for those who love to entertain, love the mountains, but don’t prefer the enormous crowds.
The second phase of the project will include a boutique creekside hotel with approximately eighteen finely appointed, luxuriously-styled guest rooms. The owners will not commit to a specific date for its construction, but anticipate it being two-three years away. Also approved for the site by the City of Idaho Springs is a boutique creekside spa and fitness center. Anticipated completion for this is approximately three-four years.
The owners are very passionate about their project and are a large part of every single design decision. “We hope that our dream of opening this center will not only bring a lot of joy to the people who choose to celebrate here, but will be a big boost for our area’s economic development. It is our dream. We will be offering a space, unlike anything that Idaho Springs currently has to offer. Not only that, but something not found on the Front Range within such a close proximity to downtown Denver,” said Rachel Betz, Owner.
Known as the Colorado town, “where the gold rush began,” Idaho Springs has a unique and exciting history. Today, the small mountain town is on the edge of experiencing a re-birth of sorts. Millions of dollars are planned for infrastructure improvements; plans are in process to reenergize both the historic Old Town and the broader city. There are whispers of a future downtown Riverwalk along Clear Creek, and future high speed transportation along I70.
