Uptown Magazine To Honor Lee Daniels At Annual Pre-Oscar Gala in West Hollywood
New York, NY (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- Uptown Ventures Group, the parent company of Uptown Magazine, has announced today that it will be honoring acclaimed film and television director, writer, and producer Lee Daniels at the 2015 Annual Uptown Pre-Oscar Gala presented by Lexus.
The gala will takes placed today, Thursday, February 19 at Fig & Olive in West Hollywood, Calif. The evening will celebrate Daniels and his extraordinary work -- including his critically acclaimed films The Butler, Monsters Ball, and Precious, as well as his most recent efforts with Fox’s new drama "Empire", among many others.
The exclusive invitation-only event will bring together industry executives and celebrities for an intimate dinner and toast followed by a private reception for additional guests afterwards. Past honorees have included Malcolm D. Lee, Will Packer, Salim Akil, Ava Duvernay, as well as Reggie and Warrington Hudlin.
