Urgent Care Textbooks Congratulates Katharine O'Moore-Klopf as the 2013 Winner of the American Copy Editors Society Robinson Prize
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) April 01, 2014 -- Urgent Care Textbooks would like to congratulate Ms. Katharine O'Moore-Klopf for her achievement as the winner of the prestigious Robinson Prize by the American Copy Editors Society for 2013.
Katharine’s primary works for the year 2013 were as chief copy editor of the Textbook of Urgent Care Medicine and the Textbook of Urgent Care Management written by Physician leaders, Lee A. Resnick, M.D., F.A.A.F.P. and John Shufeldt, M.D., J.D., F.A.C.E.P.

The Robinson Prize is one of two awards given annually by the American Copy Editors Society to one copy editor whose work demonstrates exceptional effectiveness. It is the top prize for copy editors nationally and includes copy editors from the most respected and sophisticated publications including the Associated Press, New York Times, USA Today, National Geographic, and Chicago Tribune. In addition to recognition, winners of the prize, receive a cash reward.
In 1995, Katharine established KOK Edit as a sole proprietorship to provide editorial services to publishers and authors. She continues to edit nonmedical books, however, her main focus is medical editing, both books and journal articles.
About Katarine O'Moore-Klopf
O'Moore-Klopf was a reporter for a midsize Texas newspaper. She then moved to the publishing industry, and was determined to edit for book and journal authors. While working for a medical publisher, she developed a special talent for editing manuscripts written by non-native English speakers—a skill also known as ESL (English as a second language) editing.
In 1995 she established KOK Edit as a sole proprietorship to provide editorial services to publishers and authors. Today her main focus is medical editing, both books and journal articles, helping physicians communicate research that will enable other physicians to treat their patients more effectively.
