US Cargo Control Joins the Iowa Motor Truck Association
Urbana, IA (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- US Cargo Control, a manufacturer of tie down straps and distributor of cargo control products, has recently become a member of the Iowa Motor Truck Association (IMTA) a professional trade association and advocacy group for the trucking industry.
US Cargo Control’s Senior VP Operations, Tim Sanders, says joining the IMTA is an excellent way to learn about issues and concerns facing its customers in the transportation industry.
“Our association with the IMTA is essential to staying on top of what’s happening in our local trucking industry,” said Sanders. “We’re looking forward to learning more about state and national legislative issues, regulatory concerns, and IMTA activities, and how those may affect our customers here in Iowa.”
Based in Des Moines, the IMTA was formed in 1942 after a group of motor carriers felt Iowa’s trucking industry needed a voice at the Iowa State Capitol. Today, the association has over 700 member companies and continues to serve as the voice of the trucking industry in Iowa.
