US National Emergency Alert Registry Announces Valentine Alerts

Thousands of communities across the United States use powerful emergency alert systems, capable of sending messages to everyone in a city or county in just a few minutes, to notify folks of danger and help them prepare for disaster. Valentine Alerts work just like regular emergency alerts, with two small differences:
First, registration for Valentine Alerts is done by a loved one, rather than the actual person who will receive the alerts. Parents, spouses, lovers, uncles, aunts, and others can all register the people they care about for Valentine Alerts.
Second, the Valentine has to approve the sign up before it will actually take effect. USNEAR will send a Valentine’s Day email to every Valentine, with an approval button. All they have to do is click the button and the Valentine is signed up.
