US Sports Camps and Nike Soccer Camps Celebrate the Success of the Cal Berkeley Men’s Soccer Program
San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) January 27, 2014 -- Last year, US Sports Camps, owners and operators of the Nike Sports Camps combined with the Nike California Soccer Academy & Camps at UC Berkeley. We are proud to be a part of a storied and celebrated program and congratulate the Cal Berkeley Men’s Coach Kevin Grimes on the success of his players in the 2014 MLS Draft.
Center backs, Steve Birnbaum and Christian Dean we selected No. 2 and 3 picks overall following years of guidance and instruction from Coach Grimes. "This storybook season continues to grow," Cal coach Grimes said. "What an amazing year it was for Cal soccer -- a season for the ages."
The Cal Berkeley Men’s program was ranked Number One for six weeks in the 2013 season and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament lead by Grimes. Steve Birnbaum praises Coach Grimes and says, "He's one of the best coaches in the college game, so he's given me all the tools to be in this position," Birnbaum said. "I'm just excited to take the next step."
