US Sports Camps and Nike Ultimate Camps Sponsors Bay Area Disc Association's Youth Ultimate Coaching Conference
San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) February 10, 2015 -- Organized by the Bay Area Disc Association, the 2015 Youth Ultimate Coaching Conference brings together top ultimate organizations and coaches from around the world. The theme for this year’s conference is “Long-Term Athlete Development” (LTAD). Valerio Iani, Bay Area Disc Youth Director and organizer of the event, describes LTAD as “a pathway that guides an individual’s experience in sport from youth through adulthood.” Iani hopes that through discussing topics such as appropriate drills for various age groups and genders and defined goals of training, this conference will help improve the sport of ultimate and its coaches.
This year’s conference will include presentations from Diana Cutaia (Coaching Peace, President), Danny Saunders (Ultimate Canada, Executive Director), Dr. Tom Crawford (USA Ultimate, CEO), Mike Lovinguth (USAU, Education and Youth Programs Manager), Steve Henderson (Positive Coaching Alliance, Trainer), Matt Hill (Ultimate Australia, Director of Youth), Kate Bergeron (WFDF, Board Member), Valerio Iani (Bay Area Disc , Youth Director), Heather Ann Brauer (DiscNW, YCC Coach), and Matt Tsang (Fury/USA Coach). Valerio explains, “There will also be a lot of networking and hands-on activities so that attendees can spend more time with each other, establishing connections, trying out new learning tools, and achieving a deeper layer of expertise.”
