US Verticals to Sponsor 5K to Benefit Winter Park Charities
Winter Park and KISSIMMEE, Florida (PRWEB) February 19, 2015 -- US Verticals, a company specializing in custom blinds and window treatments, announces their sponsorship of the “Fiddler’s Green 5K” in Winter Park.
US Verticals has been serving Central Florida with custom window treatments for 27 years, and today, they announce a partnership that will help local charities, as well. They will be the main sponsor of the Fiddler’s Green 5K, taking place March 7, 2015 at 7:30 a.m. in Winter Park, Fla. All proceeds from the event will benefit two local charities: Habitat for Humanity of Winter Park, and the Conductive Education Center of Orlando (CECO). Billed as “The most fun 5K in Winter Park,” the run/walk finishes up with free beer for those participants who are 21 or older.
“This is going to be a really fun event that benefits charity, and we are excited to be a part of it,” explains Kevin Scott, Vice President of US Verticals. “It doesn't get much better than having a fun run, getting free beer afterward, and knowing that you helped those in need in Central Florida. We love this community, and are really excited to work with Fiddlers Green to help give back to charities in our own backyard.”
The Fiddler’s Green 5K is being hosted by Fiddler’s Green Irish Pub in Winter Park. They will be open before and after the race for those who want to meet up. All race participants 21 and older can use their bib to obtain a free beer there following the race. The race will begin at Mead Botanical Garden, will run through scenic Winter Park, and then circle back to end back at Mead Botanical Garden. There will be awards given to the top three finishers in each age group. Participants can run or walk and the course is stroller friendly.
All proceeds raised from this fun event will go to help charity missions. Habitat for Humanity of Winter Park focuses on building homes to provide people with a safe, affordable place to live. CECO’s mission is on transforming the lives of children with motor disabilities. They offer a variety of one on one programs, including day and extended school, summer camps, individual tutoring, and more.
