USA Insulation Celebrates 30 Years of Home Foam Insulation
Eastlake, OH (PRWEB) March 03, 2015 -- This year marks the 30th Anniversary of USA Insulation, one of the largest retrofit insulation franchises in the country. Founded in 1985, USA Insulation has helped over 50,000 homeowners experience year round comfort, substantial energy savings, and greater energy efficiency.
30 years ago our country was in the throes of a serious energy crisis. The cost of energy usage was at an all-time high and the government was looking for ways to conserve our dwindling natural resources and decrease dependence on foreign oil.
“At the time, the federal government was offering $300 to homeowners who installed energy efficient systems in their homes,” recalls Jeff Pitrone, owner and founder of USA Insulation. “It was obvious to me that the energy savings push would be around for a long time. So I looked into starting a viable business that would be profitable while helping homeowners.”
After months of research, Pitrone decided to start an insulation business in Eastlake, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. “At the time, most homes in America were lacking adequate insulation,” says Pitrone. “People were still living in homes built from 1920 to around 1950, and nobody was thinking about insulating. Millions of homes were sitting out there without a winter coat on.”
Pitrone introduced the insulation product line and process that USA Insulation still uses today. The product is USA Insulation’s proprietary Premium Foam, a revolutionary and highly effective insulation product that is injected into the home’s wall cavities as a liquid and hardens to form a solid barrier against heated air loss in winter and cooled air loss in summer. According to Pitrone, his product has about a 35% higher R-value--or more insulation value--than other types of insulation. “It’s been a wonderful product for us for 30 years,” adds Pitrone.
Word spread about the extraordinary benefits of Premium Foam and the impeccable service that USA Insulation provided. Over time, Pitrone hired more associates, bought more trucks, and refined his installation processes.
Jeff’s son Patrick was now working for the company and he saw an even greater opportunity for their business. “We were so successful in the Northeast Ohio market, we knew we could be successful franchising the business nationally,” says Patrick.
With superior products, processes and services in place, they started franchising in 2006. Today, USA Insulation has grown to 22 locations — including our nation’s capital, the Greater New York City region, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, Chicago and Omaha, Nebraska.
Expanding into other markets was only made possible by having a proven system in place all the way from marketing to sales to installation and asset management, according to Jeff.
Patrick reflects, ”Our product is insulation, our benefit is comfort, savings and energy efficiency, but the real key to our success is that we have remained a family business focused on customer service.”
