USA’s Security Officer Screening & Training Programs Pay Off
ATLANTA, Georgia (PRWEB) January 27, 2015 -- U.S. Security Associates (USA) commends three security officers for performance that validates the company’s selective hiring policies and rigorous training practices. USA security officers are subject to stringent employee screening procedures and award-winning learning and development programs designed to ensure that the security company employs men and women who are consummate security professionals – both ethically and operationally. The officers receiving service commendations have proven through recent actions that USA’s hiring and training processes are working as intended.
In Fargo-Moorhead, North Dakota, Officer Joseph Junglas recently witnessed a theft in progress, followed procedure, and successfully prevented loss or injury. While Officer Junglas was on patrol at a local grocery store, he noticed a man enter the store, pick up a pack of beer, and attempt to flee. Officer Junglas confronted the suspect and detained him inside the store until local authorities took charge. For his quick action, USA is awarding Officer Junglas a Certificate of Meritorious Service.
In Minneapolis, Minnesota, Officer Elvis Acquino showed integrity in a situation that would have been a temptation for many. During his night patrol of a local technology business, Officer Acquino discovered cash left on company property. He could have pocketed the money with no one the wiser, but Officer Acquino did the right thing, ensuring that the money was safely delivered to the office manager the next morning. In a letter to USA, the office manager writes, “I greatly appreciate that. It’s nice to know we have such an honest and trustworthy guard here.” Officer Acquino receives a Certificate of Recognition and a small reward.
In Detroit, Michigan, Officer Gary Rucker put his security officer training into practice to save a life during a medical crisis. While Officer Rucker was on post at a local bank branch, he witnessed a customer experiencing a medical emergency. After the on-site EMS technician failed to get the victim to respond, Officer Rucker intervened with medical care that may have saved the victim’s life. After recovering, the customer returned to the bank to thank Officer Rucker personally. USA acknowledges Officer Rucker for his swift and capable response with a Meritorious Service Certificate.
A security company’s success depends on employing individuals who are honest and dependable, who have good judgment, and who are empowered to be effective through comprehensive training. The actions of Officers Junglas, Acquino, and Rucker provide every indication that USA is selecting the right people and training them well.
