USA Security Team Personifies Security Excellence
ATLANTA, Georgia (PRWEB) June 29, 2015 -- Special events are important to local organizations and governments for many reasons, including the public enjoyment and sense of community they provide along with the revenue they generate. Effective security is critical for these type of events. As evidenced recently when U.S. Security Associates (USA) provided security an event at Thornton Township High School in Harvey, Illinois, the security team must conduct extensive planning to secure public safety while supporting an atmosphere of hospitality.
USA, a leading national security company with more than 46,000 employees, worked with the Thornton Township High School District 205 Board of Education to provide security for the Jefferson Awards Ceremony. Attendees for the prestigious event included Congresswoman Robin Kelly, Thornton Township Supervisor Frank Zuccarrelli, State Senator Napoleon Harris, State Representatives William Davis and Thaddeus Jones, 10 mayors, and more than 300 parents, students, administrators, and community members.
In a letter from the client, the USA team “was professional and provided a service consistent with the highest expectations of Thornton Township High School District 205. The team was on time, implemented a comprehensive security plan that ensured safety and security, but did not intrude on the overall decorum of the event.” The letter continued, “They (the team) were the personification of what your agency should represent in terms of school security.”
USA has provided on-site security at more than 1,100 events with as many as 4,500 attendees, ranging from political conventions to sports spectaculars, to awards shows and entertainment events, to product sales and major corporate marketing events. The USA security team for this event included Captain Bernard Stephenes, Lieutenant Donald Richard, Sergeant Malcolm Martin, Valerie Bures, Kenneth Eddins, George Harris Jr., Alexander Martin, Kenik.a McFarland, Mintavia Moore, Damon Muhammad, Courtney Randle, and Biafran Stiff.
Captain Stephenes stated, “Before the event, our team focused on analyzing potential threats, problem prevention, security logistics, and contingency planning. During the event, our security team provided crowd control and personal security, and we were prepared for crisis response if it had been necessary.”
