USA Seeks Veterans and Spouses Nationwide
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 -- Houston is the next stop for U.S. Security Associates (USA) on its 2014 tour of RecruitMilitary Veteran Job Fairs. On August 7, the security company is exhibiting at the Houston All Veterans Job Fair and Opportunity Expo. Hosted by RecruitMilitary, the nation's leading military-to-civilian career placement firm, the Job Fair takes place at Houston’s Minute Maid Park from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Veterans and their spouses are invited to attend the Job Fair and learn about employment opportunities in the Houston market and beyond. At USA’s booth, recruiters and managers will be on hand to accept resumes and share information about potential career paths in security.
The All Veterans Job Fair comes on the heels of the announcement that USA has been named among the G.I. Jobs Top 100 Military Friendly Employers again this year, in addition to claiming a spot on the G.I. Jobs roundup of Top 50 Military Friendly Spouse Employers. Employment opportunities through 160 branch offices across the country and overseas as well as spouse relocation opportunities during deployment contribute to USA’s regular appearances on the G.I. Jobs Military Friendly lists.
USA’ military-friendly position is getting more press as a result of Recruiting America’s Brave, the company’s campaign to hire veterans and their spouses. Through Recruiting America’s Brave, USA actively targets veterans, reservists, and their spouses through partnerships with organizations like RecruitMilitary, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, and Warriors to Work. Most recently, USA joined forces with the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP), a targeted solution for military spouses seeking employment and for companies interested in recruiting them. By signing the MSEP Statement of Support, USA promises to identify and promote career and employment opportunities for military spouses.
USA District Manager in Houston John McCracken encourages veteran and reserve military personnel to consider a career in security service. “Servicemen and women will find that a security career eases the transition to civilian life by allowing you to continue serving others as you put your skills to work. I worked as a security officer for USA during my career as a Military Police Officer with the U.S. Army Reserves. I was deployed twice during my tenure with the Reserves. During both of those times, USA provided the structure, flexibility, and challenging environment I needed to successfully navigate my return from duty.”
