USAA CTO Eric Smith Joins CTO Forum Advisory Board
Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) July 14, 2016 -- The CTO Forum today announced that Eric Smith, vice president and chief technology officer at USAA, has been appointed to the CTO Forum Advisory Board. The CTO Forum brings together senior technology executives and business leaders to discuss and collaborate on key technology issues facing the industry and to accelerate innovation across organizations.

In his role, Smith drives USAA’s strategic technology agenda with an emphasis on providing members the world-class services and products they deserve with increasing emphasis on digital channels. He has held various leadership roles at USAA in Architecture and the Member Contact Applications group, a team focused on providing a best in class USAA member and employee contact application infrastructure. He has been a member of the USAA team since July of 2006, when he joined the CTO organization as a Technical Architect with responsibility for the IT Service Management Domain.
Prior to joining USAA, he was a Director of Client Services for Maryville Technologies, a Service Management and Infrastructure consulting entity. In the Client Services capacity, he was responsible for managing the technical consultants providing support to Maryville's clients in addition to overseeing strategic client relationships. During his tenure at Maryville, he had the opportunity to manage relationships and key enterprise technical initiatives with several Fortune 500 companies to include Sprint PCS, Sysco Corporation, Southwest Airlines, and Texas Instruments.
