Using the Full Power of Web: Fueled Launches Radical Website Redesign
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 31, 2013 -- Last week, award winning mobile app design house Fueled released its newly redesigned website, with the same flair and attention to detail which has characterized their work for years.
Founder Rameet Chawla said, “It was time for our website to be more engaging and interactive, and to reflect our work. We wanted to present our best professional work not just in the projects we showcase, but also for our own website to be an example of the high-quality craftsmanship we provide.”
Fueled’s original website was relatively simple and straightforward, aiming to establish their brand and work developing mobile apps. The redesign built on the basic structure of that site and but now reveals their full capabilities with the new, highly polished and responsive website.
The new website, which utilities some of the most advanced web technology available, is designed to carry users through an experience, rather than be browsed randomly and haphazardly. Among the standout features of the beautiful redesign are deeply integrated videos which provide a view of the inner workings at Fueled and the countless details which enhance each part of the site. One of Lead Designer Rob Palmer’s favorite details “are the lazy page transitions, you can pretty much navigate the whole site without clicking the main site navigation.”
The Projects (http://fueled.com/projects/) section is the centerpiece of the site, says Marc Thomas, Senior Web Designer. “We’re a forward thinking, progressive company—and the markup shows that,” Thomas said, also noting the full use of newer technologies which “ensure a great browsing experience on all modern browsers.”
Thomas also described the details of the projects section which make it pop. “We created a really fun UX to navigate all the projects.” CSS animations and transitions ensure new content appears in exciting ways, and there’s a clever action which allows users to magnify wireframes and user flow on case studies where Fueled worked on the UX.
Originally built in WordPress, the team initially planned to simply create a new WordPress theme, but found that the CMS was not needed for the site they were envisioning, instead building it as Thomas says, “from the ground up, by hand.”
