The Koi Collection was inspired by Darren’s artwork. Darren struggled with a difficult 5 year battle with the deadly skin cancer, before passing way in September of 2001. After Darren’s death, Rhonda became ultra-conscious of needing to make sure their three young boys were protected from the sun, and eventually was driven to create a UPF 50+ sun protective clothing line that would protect the entire family from dangerous UV radiation while enjoying the outdoors. “The goal isn’t to create fear among families, but rather to educate them on sun safety while providing them with reliable sun protection they enjoy wearing outdoors.
