Validity Screening Solutions CEO to Present at MO SHRM
Overland Park, Kan. (PRWEB) August 05, 2015 -- Darren Dupriest, Validity Screening Solutions, will present at the MO SHRM (Missouri Society for Human Resource Management) conference later this week, providing guidance in implementing and maintaining compliant background screening processes. Dupriest aims to offer attendees an all-encompassing summary of compliance with the legislation and guidelines put in place by federal and state level governments in the hiring process.
As federal and state laws are ever evolving, this presentation intends to provide attendees with up-to-date data regarding information used in the hiring process. This includes overviews of criminal background checks, employment and education verifications, and professional reference checks. Attendees will also gain general knowledge on the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), its reach into the private and public sectors, cost of violations, and its application in specific situations.
In addition to FCRA education, attendees can expect a brief highlight of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Guidelines for Criminal Arrest and Conviction records, along with updates on state-level “Ban the Box” legislation. Attendees will leave the presentation with a better understanding of the impact of implementing a compliant screening process.
This presentation will be held at the MO SHRM conference August 5, 2015 at 1:30p at the Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Mo.
