Validity Screening Solutions President Talks Background Checks at AZ SHRM
Overland Park, KS (PRWEB) August 24, 2015 -- Darren Dupriest, Validity Screening Solutions, will present at the AZ SHRM (Arizona Society for Human Resource Management) conference later this week, providing guidance in implementing and maintaining compliant background screening processes. Dupriest’s presentation will offer attendees an all-encompassing summary of compliance with the legislation and guidance put in place by federal and state level governments in the pre-employment screening process.
With periodic updates to legislation by Federal and State governments, this presentation intends to provide attendees with up-to-date data regarding information used in the hiring process. This includes overviews of criminal background checks, employment and education verifications, and professional reference checks. Attendees will also gain general knowledge on the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), its reach into the private and public sectors, cost of violations, and its application in specific situations.
In addition to FCRA education, attendees can expect a brief highlight of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) guidance on the use of criminal arrest and conviction records, along with updates on state-level “Ban the Box” legislation. Attendees will leave the presentation with the tools they need to conduct a compliant background screening program.
This presentation will be held at the AZ SHRM conference Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 10:30a at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa in Chandler, Arizona.
