The company was founded by Martin Sibal, a former Czech basketball player who rose into prominence in the late 1980s by playing in Europe and on the country’s national team. Sibal was always interested in health and nutrition as a professional athlete, which led him to look into creating his own nutritional product company.

Martin and his friends soon got an infection and had severe symptoms of diarrhea and fevers. They flew back to the Czech Republic, and Sibal needed to be ready to play basketball and was worried his illness would prevent him from participating in extremely important games. He was informed about the benefits of probiotics and how they could eliminate the bacteria causing his illness. He knew that he had to give them a shot, and it paid off.
