Vast Bridges Creator Cash Program Makes a Huge Difference to Five One Spark Creators
JACKSONVILLE, FLA (PRWEB) April 14, 2015 -- Vast Bridges awarded $7500 to five One Spark projects on Sunday as a part of its innovative Creator Cash program. During the 6 day One Spark crowdfunding festival that ended yesterday in Jacksonville, Vast Bridges staff members visited the festival and learned about the different projects spearheaded by entrepreneurs. They chose their favorites and with the help of a Twitter voting campaign selected five projects to receive Creator Cash of $1500 each.
Vast Bridges is proud to announce the 2015 Creator Cash recipients, all five of whom were from the Education or Social Good categories.
Hunger Fight is a non-profit that has created a new take on helping to eradicate hunger on the First Coast. The humanitarian organization packs highly nutritious meals with the help of volunteers, so that food insecurity can be eliminated for a much lower cost per meal than could be provided in other traditional ways.
Growin’ GEERS is an interactive educational program for elementary school children, helping them apply an engineering approach to problem solving. It encourages students to think creatively and teaches them engineering concepts in a fun way.
Take a Free Ride is a non-profit organization that is putting an end to drinking and driving in Clay County. This free bus service brings patrons from various establishments to their home free of charge.
Textbook Boomerang is a textbook trading platform that allows college students throughout the country to trade textbooks, saving them significantly on the cost of higher education. This project also received the second highest votes in the Education category during One Spark, with 1109 votes.
