veEDIS Clinical Systems Gets Another “Nod,” Receiving Additional ONC-ACB Certification by Drummond Group
Plantation, FL (PRWEB) September 09, 2014 -- veEDIS Clinical Systems, LLC is proud to announce it has, once again, tested and certified under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program. As such, this EHR software is compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
veEDIS™ is a content-complete, cloud-based EHR system utilized by nurses and physicians to document patient care. This 2nd wave of 2014 EHR certification provides clients with the capability to enhance the communication and sharing of patient information through electronic, and confidential, exchange of Continuity of Care Documents (CCD’s). This vital Summary of Care can be provided to any healthcare provider, facility, or HIE (Health Information Exchange), and healthcare providers receiving veEDIS CCD’s can incorporate that information directly into their own Meaningful Use compliant EMR for permanent storage and seamless integration. Additionally, by receiving documents electronically from treating providers and facilities, users can incorporate and reconcile information directly into the veEDIS chart.
Another key component of veEDIS’ latest certification is Clinical Decision Support (CDS). Through the Care Trak™ module, veEDIS offers the most “intelligent” clinical surveillance, decision support, and risk mitigation tool on the market. Furthermore, Care Trak monitors, tracks, and provides clinicians with real-time feedback to ensure the requisite Clinical Quality Measures (CQM’s) are being met at the point of care, making it the only tool of its kind, marrying CDS and CQM’s, (real-time and at the point of care).
“This Wave 2, 2014 Edition EHR Certification is a significant achievement and a big win for our customers, particularly for those looking to attest for meaningful use dollars and/or desiring electronic data exchange,” said veEDIS Executive Vice President, Amy L. Crawford. “By facilitating the electronic exchange of data through transitions of care summaries and providing real-time, contextually-relevant clinical decision support, we’re making an important contribution to the enhanced quality of healthcare and overall patient safety. Congratulations to our team of clinical and technology experts, as this accomplishment is a reflection of their continued dedication and hard work.”
“Leveraging information technology for healthcare initiatives provides the opportunity to deliver a high-level quality of care and efficiency which essentially benefits and enhances the overall patient experience,” says Rik Drummond, CEO of the Drummond Group Inc. “We have been testing software for more than a decade and will continue to provide our extensive experience testing and certifying complex systems for multiple industries, as well as ensuring interoperability and security remain key components in the growing healthcare industry.”
Drummond Group’s ONC-ACB certification program certifies that EHRs meet the meaningful use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology – a key component of the federal government’s push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHR’s by U.S. healthcare providers.
