Vegas-Based Tech Startup Helps Parents Find Child Care
Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) August 08, 2013 -- Locally owned technology company Cubby Road announced today that it will release a free website that helps parents find child care online. The company will formally open the service to Las Vegas parents on August 17th, at a launch party hosted at The Giggle Box, an Aliante-based indoor play center.
The party is open to families with children of all ages with free admission and will feature a $1 raffle with a chance to win a family Staycation at the Excalibur. All proceeds go to the Stomach Cancer Relief Network. The party includes snacks and face paintings.
"Finding child care is hard," said Cubby Road founder Jonas Acres. "This city has hundreds of thousands of parents who need a safe, educational environment for their children while they're at work, and with Cubby Road, they have a way to find it."
With Cubby Road, parents type in their address and see licensed care near them, accompanied by photos, reviews and ratings. The service also lets parents type in their workplace and find child care along their commute. Parents can select their favorite locations and send online inquiries to check availability, saving hours of phone tag. The service is completely free of charge to parents, and includes all licensed child care providers in the Las Vegas area.
"I see local moms asking about child care online every day, but a lot of great child care providers don't advertise online," said Cubby Road's Trisha Surani, founder of Las Vegas Mom Entrepreneurs. "We've done the work of getting child care providers on the Internet so parents can connect with them."
