Velocity Urgent Care Expands Practice; Utilizes RamSoft PowerServer XU to Manage Workflow
Toronto, Ontario, Canada (PRWEB) April 24, 2014 -- Founded in 2010 by partners Dr. Aleksandr Gorenbeyn and Dr. John Yaylagul, Velocity Urgent Care opened its first facility in Rocky Hill, CT in mid-2011. Sharing over 20 years of emergency room experience, they saw an opportunity to provide high-quality, passionate care for those with urgent medical needs. As part of the build-out, they selected RamSoft’s PowerServer XU to manage the radiology workflow at their busy facility. They recently expanded their practice to provide service to a larger geographic area; adding a second facility in Southington, CT. Pleased with the way PowerServer XU managed their busy radiology workflow at Rocky Hill, and the flexibility with which they could expand their study volume license, they now use XU to manage their workflow across two locations.
PowerServer XU is a specialized version of RamSoft’s PACS designed for facilities like Velocity that have in-house modalities, like ultrasound and x-ray, and require a fast and efficient way to interpret studies locally or route to on-call radiologists for interpretation. It is built on the same platform as RamSoft’s full-featured PowerServer PACS. It possesses the same features to automate workflow and also provides a powerful diagnostic viewer for reading physicians.
According to Dr. Aleksandr Gorenbeyn, PowerServer XU provides Velocity Urgent Care with the ability to immediately view patient studies so they can assess their current situation and plan a course of treatment. “Patients in need of urgent medical care rely on us to diagnose them quickly,” says Dr. Gorenbeyn. “PowerServer XU provides our center with the tools to make that happen.”
