Veloxity Reports 2015 Primary Market Research Study on Consumer Behavior Regarding Cell Phone Charging, Battery Anxiety, Purchase Decisions and More
Boston, MA (PRWEB) December 02, 2015 -- Veloxity (http://www.veloxity.us), a leading provider of commercial cell phone charging kiosks, has released phone charging & phone battery statistics in a new 2015 market research report. [Back in 2013, Veloxity conducted a similar research study, where 200 people were interviewed in each of 4 major U.S. cities. The cities included NYC, Boston, Chicago, and Philadelphia.
In Veloxity’s 2015 report, the team added two more cities in Miami and Washington D.C., while featuring several new questions. The topics that were covered in the survey include:
1) The difference in battery life at 6pm and 10pm
2) The average charges per day per city
3) If consumers are carrying around a backup charging solution
4) If consumers get anxiety from a low or dead battery
5) If battery life influences consumers’ purchasing decision
6) If consumers have used public charging kiosks before
Notable findings from the study include:
Cell phone battery life after 10PM in most major cities dips under 30%.
In all major cities, over 60% report anxiety from low or dead battery (NYC reports highest with 85%).
In somewhat of paradox to the battery anxiety question, only 32% say battery capacity influences their purchase decision when buying a new phone.
72% of those surveyed had no backup battery, portable charger, or charging cable/
