Venture Construction Group of Florida Donates Roof to Disabled Army Veteran
West Palm Beach, Fla. (PRWEB) November 15, 2016 -- Venture Construction Group of Florida (VCGFL) will provide a new roof to a disabled Army veteran in West Palm Beach Nov. 17-18 through the Owens Corning’s national Roof Deployment Project in partnership with Support Our Troops®. VCGFL is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor– a member of a nationwide network of more than 300 contractors. As a way to show gratitude to veterans, servicemen and women and families who have made great sacrifices, Venture Construction Group of Florida will provide labor to build a new roof, and Owens Corning donates the materials.
West Palm Beach resident and U.S. Army disabled veteran, Sergeant Horowitz, purchased his first home while deployed in Afghanistan. After enduring an IED explosion and returning back home, Horowitz learned that his roof did not pass windstorm mitigation inspection, causing his mortgage and insurance premiums to double. The inspection initially passed when he purchased the home.
“No United States military veteran should be in need of basic shelter. Helping install a new roof is the least we can do to say thank you for their service and sacrifice,” said Stephen Shanton, CEO and President of Venture Construction Group of Florida.
Owens Corning, its Platinum Preferred member network, the Owens Corning Foundation and Support Our Troops hopes to lessen stressors that can burden military families in their daily lives.

The national Roof Deployment Project has already helped more than a dozen military families across the country this year.
