Venture Construction Group of Florida sponsors Martin County charity golf tournament to benefit SafeSpace
Stuart, Fla. (PRWEB) June 01, 2015 -- Venture Construction Group of Florida sponsors the Jrc Foundation’s fifth annual charity golf tournament to benefit SafeSpace, the only certified domestic abuse shelter in Treasure Coast. The Jrc Foundation charity golf tournament will take place on June 6 at Piper’s Landing Yacht and Country Club at 6160 SW Thistle Terrace in Palm City. Event kicks off with registration at 7 a.m. and tee time at 8:30 a.m. Venture Construction Group of Florida is a proud “Golf Cart” and “Hole/Tee” sponsor. Staff and crews will participate to raise monies for SafeSpace.
“It’s our company mission to always take the time to help others. Philanthropic giving is an absolute must. We help property owners throughout Florida rebuild after major storms, and we help the communities we serve by donating and sponsoring various charitable programs,” says Steve Shanton, president of Venture Construction Group of Florida.
The Jrc Charitable Foundation holds annual fundraising events to benefit a local nonprofit. Funds from the 2015 event sponsorships, golf tickets and donations will benefit SafeSpace, the only certified domestic violence center in Treasure Coast that provides safety, support and education to victims of domestic violence. SafeSpace is a nonprofit United Way organization that helps women and children in Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties. SafeSpace has as 48-bed emergency shelter, a program for long-term housing, and outreach services.
“It’s our fifth year, and we rely on the growing support of our local community and corporate sponsorships to raise monies for the annual designated charity,” says John Carr, president of the Jrc Charitable Foundation.

SafeSpace is a 501© non-profit United Way organization serving victims of domestic abuse in Indian River, St. Lucie and Martin Counties Florida. In addition to providing emergency shelter with two 24 bedroom facilities, SafeSpace provides outreach services to individuals who have not entered a shelter but whose lives are being affected by domestic violence. The participants are provided with information, education and counseling they need to end the abuse.
