Veridian Connections Deploys Clevest Mobile Workforce Management v5.1
(PRWEB) January 31, 2015 -- Clevest Solutions Inc. and Veridian Connections today announced the deployment of Clevest’s Mobile Workforce Management (version 5.1) solution at Veridian. A leading provider of mobile workforce automation software including smart grid mobile technology, Clevest is proud to see its technology being used by one of Ontario’s largest and best performing electric utilities – serving more than 118,000 residential and business customers in nine municipalities.
The deployment commenced earlier this month and is now fully operational for Veridian’s asset inspection order types. Veridian technicians were immediately able to complete a number of their inspection orders, which is a very important and time-critical annual activity that commences each January.
“With the Clevest solution, work assignment and tracking is done much more effectively,” said Veridian President and CEO Michael Angemeer. “Veridian’s asset inspections now have automated data validation in two stages which significantly decreases the number manual interventions needed by our GIS group. Our technicians are able to make on-the-spot map annotations to verify our GIS schematic, with asset photos and GPS location information posted directly to our GIS. This creates near instantaneous form updates for our asset inspections.”
Thomas Ligocki, President and CEO for Clevest, emphasized, “This deployment of our latest version of Mobile Workforce Management shows how quickly a utility’s technicians can begin to use the system for field operations work. Clevest’s vision for a smart grid mobile future includes the ability to automate the entire workforce, and this deployment is an excellent example of this vision.”
Veridian’s Manager of Operations Information Systems, Maged Yackoub, will be a speaker at the February 2015 DistribuTECH conference, presenting at the “Smart Mobile Asset Inspections in Remote Areas with No Coverage” session.
