Veritas Collaborative Names Cindy Skocik Chief Operating Officer
Durham, NC (PRWEB) April 19, 2017 -- Veritas Collaborative, a specialty hospital system for the treatment of eating disorders, today announced the appointment of Cindy Skocik as chief operating officer.
“Cindy has been an integral member of our executive team for the past several years,” stated Stacie McEntyre, founder, president and CEO of Veritas Collaborative. “Her transition into the COO role will not only help build the infrastructure we need to reach operational maturity, but also ensure that we continue to provide premier care as we expand to new locations.”
After serving as the organization’s CFO for almost four years, Skocik officially transitioned to the COO role April 3.
During her time as CFO, Skocik played a key role in positioning Veritas for significant growth. Within the last 14 months, Veritas transitioned from a one-hospital entity to a hospital system with four facilities spanning Durham, Atlanta, and Richmond, Virginia.
Skocik now oversees all facility operations, human resources, and information technology for the hospital system.

Prior to joining Veritas, Skocik served as CFO -- and acting CEO -- of Castle Worldwide, where she managed a team of 120 employees. She also served as CFO for Southern Assisted Living, Inc., a health care company that grew from one facility to 24 facilities under her leadership.
Skocik attended West Virginia University where she graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
