Vero Beach Florida Companies asking community to help with supplies for the Keys
Vero Beach, Florida (PRWEB) September 27, 2017 -- Dale Sorensen Real Estate (DSRE) and White Gloving Moving and Storage are combining forces to provide relief for residents of the Florida Keys who are victims of Hurricane Irma. Hurricane Irma struck the lower Keys with force and devastated many of the homes and businesses located there.
“We are saddened by the devastation in the Florida Keys,” said Dale Sorensen, Jr., Managing Partner for DSRE. “A lot of us grew up vacationing in the Keys and have great memories of the many iconic businesses, including restaurants, bars, shops and museums. The people who reside in the Keys are a resilient and strong group but they need our help right now. Many of them have lost everything, and others are still dealing with the massive clean-up of the properties. We want to be able to help them resume some type of normalcy as soon as possible.”
The two companies are asking the community to donate items that are critical to the needs of the residents at this time. “We’ve determined, with the help of relief organizations, what items are most important to the victims of Hurricane Irma right now,” said Rosanne Moler, Realtor® with DSRE. “These are personal hygiene items that may be difficult for them to come by at this time, and items they need to help with clean-up of their property. I know a lot of people want to donate clothing or toys, however, we don’t need to provide those items at this time. That may come at a later date.”
Items needed include:
• Cases of water
• Tents
• Tarps
• Chainsaws
• Soap, toothpaste, shampoo, toothbrushes
• Toilet paper & paper towels
• Shovels
• Bug spray
• Feminine products
• Brooms
• Sunscreen
• Mops
• Yard tools
• And dog and cat food
All items can be dropped off at White Glove Moving and Storage beginning immediately. Deadline is Friday September 29. White Glove is located at 2175 45th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32967. The drop off hours are Monday through Friday 8am - 4pm. They are not open on weekends. When dropping off, go to White Glove, follow the red arrows to the back warehouse. There will be someone there to help unload. White Glove will transport the items to the Keys Monday, October 2. “We are in a unique position to help as we have large moving trucks and can transport these items quickly while the need is still there,” said Anna Valencia Tillery of White Glove Moving and Storage. “Many of us on the Treasure Coast have strong ties to the Keys so it just feels right to help.”
