Vet24seven™ App Brings Your Veterinarian to Your Mobile Device
Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) October 21, 2013 -- Vet24seven™, the mobile app that brings a veterinarian to your animal via tablet or smartphone, announced today that it has launched an Indiegogo Campaign at http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/vet24seven to complete development of the app and build the nationwide network of veterinarians that will provide animal care via virtual veterinary consultations on demand.
Using the Vet24seven™ app, an animal owner can tell a veterinarian about a specific problem or issue, include photos and videos for the veterinarian to see and engage in a live video chat session. Veterinarians in the Vet24seven™ network are licensed and screened, as well as rated by app users. Vet24seven™ is co-founded by veterinarians to address the needs of both veterinarians and pet owners. Vet24seven™ will also be available for commercial use with livestock where the remote location of farm animals makes it difficult to provide regular or immediate care.

Vet24seven™ is not intended to replace regular veterinary visits, but improves pet healthcare particularly when pet owners are busy and getting their pet to the clinic—especially cats or animals with chronic conditions—is a challenge. Too often, demanding schedules and delays in contacting a veterinarian when issues arise results in sicker pets.

To use the Vet24seven™ app, the pet owner indicates the type of issue the pet is having and a desired response time, includes photos and/or video for the veterinarian to assess, or selects a live video chat, then sends off the request to the veterinarian selected. The veterinarian reviews the submission and responds with a home-based plan of treatment or follow-up visit at the clinic, if the pet’s condition warrants it.
