San Diego, California (PRWEB) July 08, 2015 -- San Diego native Carlos Amezcua has been hired as co-anchor of KUSI NEWS’ “Good Morning San Diego,” the local television station’s five-hour weekday morning newscast, it was announced today.
Amezcua grew up in San Diego and worked for two local stations before making a name for himself in Los Angeles, where he co-anchored KTLA’s Morning News from 1991 to 2007.
He joins a popular weekday morning news team that includes co-anchor Lisa Remillard, Leslie Lopez, Brad Perry and Ed Lenderman.
“I am thrilled to be back in my hometown and co-anchor with my friends on Good Morning San Diego on KUSI. My family and I are grateful for the warm welcome and we are looking forward to new friendships,” Amezcua says.
An award winning veteran newsman, he has spent more than 35 years covering major news stories around the world, most recently for FOX Television in Los Angeles.

Bush and his wife Barbara, President Jimmy Carter, Senator Hilary Clinton, Mexican President Carlos Salinas de Gortari, Secretary of State Colin Powell and many more.
