Vets Plus to Distribute Neutricks Cognitive Supplement for Senior Dogs and Cats
Menomonie, WI (PRWEB) June 16, 2015 -- Animal health company Vets Plus will begin distribution of Neutricks cognitive products for dogs and cats this month. The line currently includes a tablet for dogs and powder for cats. Vets Plus will also begin manufacturing Neutricks in an easy-to-give soft chew for dogs.
Neutricks is ideal for senior pets experiencing cognitive decline associated with aging. The products contain apoaequorin, a protein discovered in jellyfish, which has been shown to support memory in pets as well as people. Neutricks is currently available through veterinary clinics. The new distribution agreement with Vets Plus will make the product available beyond the ethical market.
Director of ethical business at Vets Plus, Dave Merrick, will manage the distribution and expansion of Neutricks. The new partnership, Merrick said, will lead to future advancements in delivery systems for cats and dogs, starting with soft chews. “Vets Plus is an expert in cold extrusion and palatable soft chew formulations,” said Merrick. “This is especially an important option for senior dogs who may have difficulty chewing a tablet.”
Neutricks is the only patented supplement specifically developed for brain health. Research on the key ingredient has been published in peer reviewed journals. Merrick and Raj Lall, president and CEO of Vets Plus, agreed this was a key factor in the decision to manufacture and distribute Neutricks. Lall said, “At Vets Plus, we believe in manufacturing products based strongly on research. Neutricks is well documented, and we are excited to make this product more readily available in veterinary clinics and across other markets.”
