VIA Productions Expands Memphis Presence – Acquires 1049 Productions
Memphis, Tennessee (PRWEB) September 11, 2014 -- VIA Productions has announced the acquisition of Memphis-based 1049 Productions, honoring a commitment to increase its presence in the Mid-South.

1049 Productions founder, Director Chad Schaffler will be named executive producer for VIA and will act as head of production in his new position. As executive producer, Schaffler will oversee all aspects of production at VIA, including the company’s creative direction.

1049 Productions was founded in 2004 and has produced work for many well-known names in the Mid-South including Hampton Inns, International Paper, FedEx, First Tennessee, and Medtronic. 1049 produced the award-winning documentary “Memphis Heat” as well as the upcoming documentary feature, “The Invaders.”

About Chad Schaffler
Chad Schaffler graduated from film school at Notre Dame in 1996 and began his career working as a production freelancer in Memphis. After working in all facets of production, as well as serving as an agency producer, Schaffler received a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work for Robert Zemeckis’ company, ImageMovers in Los Angeles. He spent three years in L.A. learning the film business while working on blockbusters such as Cast Away and The Polar Express. In 2004, Schaffler returned to Memphis and founded 1049 Productions.
