Viawear Releases Its Full Line Of Luxury Smart Jewelry
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) June 18, 2015 -- As much an elegant piece of fine jewelry as a technological marvel, Viawear’s Tyia (‘Tie-Ah’) bracelet protects you from missing an important notification. Today, Viawear is launching a crowdfunding campaign to offer the public an opportunity to reserve one of the first Tyia production units. Tyia is also providing live demonstrations June 23-25 during the CE Week Events in New York City.
Tyia’s story began in 2012 when Viawear Co-Founder Ben Isaacson’s young son broke his arm. His wife, Tyia, a therapist, had her phone on silent and only learned about the incident after many hours and a barrage of missed calls and texts. Isaacson made it his mission to create something as fashionable as it is functional to prevent moments like this from happening again.
With a background in email filtering, Isaacson used this expertise to create a sophisticated mobile app that filters every notification, and lets the user decide which alerts are worth an interruption. Isaacson then partnered with award-winning jewelry designer, Walter Adler Chefitz, to make Tyia an elegant piece of jewelry you will want to wear every day. As real jewelry, Tyia comes in numerous precious metal options with semi-precious gemstones and interchangeable bands.
Tyia's mobile app elevates mobile notification management, letting you customize alerts by contacts, calendar appointments, any app or through priority keywords. When an alert arrives, Tyia uses vibration ‘haptics’ and colors to let you easily distinguish alert context and importance. Unlike smartwatches, Tyia’s discreet screen-free design with subtle notifications allows you to enjoy every moment without distractions. In addition to mobile notification filtering, Tyia offers a full suite of activity tracking features.
Viawear Founder and CEO Ben Isaacson says of the Tyia; “Wearables should never compete or conflict with your phone or other accessories. Tyia is the perfect companion to help you stay connected to what matters without sacrificing any of the quality we expect from existing jewelry. ”
As part of their crowdfunding campaign, Viawear is offering special discount pricing and numerous models including 18K yellow or rose gold vermeil, sterling silver and oxidized silver ‘gunmetal’ versions. Viawear is releasing two special editions, a ‘Walt Adler’ tribal pattern diamond encrusted model as well the Citrine, designed in collaboration with L.A. based celebrity jewelry retailer Roseark. Tyia is designed to work with both Apple and Android phones.
