Vickie Swan releases second volume in Split Second Decision trilogy
BARRIERE, British Columbia (PRWEB) February 16, 2015 -- In the new book “Split Second Decision ll Apprehended” (published by AuthorHouse), the second installment in author Vickie Swan’s trilogy, is set in a village in Belize and presents a fictional story based on nonfiction testimonials of human trafficking reports.
Anita’s father left her in a spider web he created. Anita is abducted and she is now force to defend her mortal enemy – Dante – in court in order to save her best friend from being sold on the black market and protect her family. The mind-boggling experiences Anita and her family face will keep the readers in suspense.
Now that Anita is a pawn in his game, Dante proudly takes her on a tour of his ‘empire.’ She witnesses how he forcibly takes children from the surrounding villages in Belize and barbarically trains young boys to be soldiers and how he ‘prepares’ young girls to be sold on the human black market. Gaining some freedom, with Anita’s help, some of the young girls show their strength and courage to rebel against Dante and the outcome will surprise the readers. The cruel experiences Anita faces, while in Dante’s care, teach her how to be manipulative and her feat is – can she put Dante behind bars and still free Carolyn from his clutches?
Through her trilogy, Swan strives to bring attention to human trafficking, especially cases such as the Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram’s kidnapping of 300 young women in April 2014.
“The human race wants to know where the missing young ladies are and what could possibly happen to them,” Swan says. “The Split Second Decision trilogy is inspired by this topic.”
