Victor Vargas Launches Record Label in Venezuela
Caracas, Venezuela (PRWEB) August 02, 2015 -- Venezuelan singer Victor Vargas this week launched his own record, Venezuela Vargas Music, to have greater control over his music and expand his music business.
Before deciding to start the label, Vargas considered joining an established Venezuela-based label. Vargas met with executives at Arenas Recordings, a Maracaibo-based label. Arenas represents artists such as Alain Diamond and Gabriel Marchisio.
He also came close to a deal with Big Bang Records, a label established in 2011.
"Big Bang was a strong choice because they focus on signing artists from around the world," Vargas said. "Even though I'm in Venezuela, I was interested in connecting with artists from around the globe, and obviously, hoping to expand my music beyond South America."
Victor Vargas began his music career at age 19 while a student at Universidad Bolivariana de Venezuela in Caracas, Venezuela. He studied animation for two years before dropping out. He is known for his 2007 road trip across Venezuela, where he bought a used truck, packed all his belongings, and hit 250 night clubs in a year.
Venezuela Vargas Music will launch a website in the coming months. Vargas' next tour begins in September.
