Victoria Lockard, Clarence Davis, Amy Dehnel, Jessica Odom Author Chapters; Sara Tucker Edits DRI “Young Lawyers Guide to Defense Practice”
ATLANTA (PRWEB) July 09, 2015 -- Victoria Lockard, Greenberg Traurig shareholder and vice-chair of the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice, along with associate Amy Dehnel, authored a chapter in the Defense Research Institute’s (“DRI”) publication entitled “Young Lawyers Guide to Defense Practice.” Lockard and Dehnel wrote about “Examination of Experts in Preparation for Trial.” Shareholder Clarence Davis and Associate Jessica Odom authored a chapter on “Conducting Voir Dire.” Associate Sara Tucker served as the editor of publication.
According to DRI, the publication contains 30 chapters covering everything a young lawyer needs to know about civil defense practice. DRI is the leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel. DRI is host to 30 substantive committees whose focus is to develop ongoing and critical dialogue about areas of practice. Lockard focuses her practice in the areas of products liability, mass torts, consumer class actions, and other complex litigation. She handles high-stakes, single-plaintiff cases (including through trial) and complex litigation, including MDLs, coordinated state actions, and class actions. She is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and is a member of DRI’s Products Liability Steering Committee. Among her recognitions, she is listed by Georgia Super Lawyers, 2014-2015, and as a Georgia Super Lawyers “Rising Star," 2005-2006 and 2009-2012. Davis focuses his practice on complex business litigation, products liability, toxic torts, and class action trial defense with an emphasis on defending pharmaceutical and medical device companies in products liability matters across the country. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, 2011-2015, and The Legal 500 United States, 2014.
Tucker concentrates her practice on complex products liability litigation, with a focus on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. She is a member of DRI’s Young Lawyers Division Steering Committee and chair of the Publications Subcommittee. She also serves as a member of DRI’s Drug & Medical Device Steering Committee, including serving on the New Member Orientation Subcommittee and as the Young Lawyer Liaison. She received the DRI Young Lawyers Committee "Outstanding Newcomer" award in 2014. She is listed by Georgia Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star,” 2015.
Odom focuses her practice on complex products liability litigation, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical, medical device, and other consumer products litigation. She is listed as a Georgia Super Lawyers "Rising Star," 2010 and 2014-2015 and received the "Award of Achievement for Outstanding Service to the Public," Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia, 2012-2013.
Dehnel focuses her practice on complex products liability litigation, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation. She is a 2013-2015 board member of the Atlanta Council of Younger Lawyers. She obtained her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where she served as the Executive Managing Editor of the Emory Law Journal, and she received the Dean’s Award in Legal Writing Research and Advocacy Program. She obtained her B.A., cum laude, from Wheaton College.
