Victory Addiction Recovery Center’s Program Director is Elected Chairman of the Louisiana Commission on Addictive Disorders
Lafayette, LA (PRWEB) February 20, 2015 -- Victory Addiction Recovery Center (Victory) today announced the election of their Program Director, Kerri Cunningham as the Chairman for The Louisiana Commission on Addictive Disorders. The Commission, of which Ms. Cunningham was appointed to in 2013 by Governor Jindal, is charged with the assessment, evaluation and recommendation of programs and services supported by the Office of Behavioral Health. In addition, the Commission is to act as advocates of addictive disorders services.
As Victory’s Program Director, Kerri is responsible for the development, implementation and quality oversight of the facility’s programs. “I am proud to be elected Chairman of the Commission and do not take this responsibility lightly. I am very fortunate to be in a position both on the Commission and at Victory to have influence on bettering treatment and outcomes for the people of Louisiana,” says Ms. Cunningham. In addition to Ms. Cunningham’s election, it was announced last month that Victory’s Medical Director, Dr. Edward Lafleur and Staff Psychiatrist Dr. Scott Mayers added Addictionologist to their credentials.
