Victory Medical Center Landmark Breaks Ground On 60,000 Square-Foot Multi-Use Medical Building
San Antonio, TExas (PRWEB) October 02, 2014 -- Victory Medical Center Landmark, located off the 1604 Loop in northwest San Antonio, is expanding its premier medical facilities. Victory is breaking ground this month on a $20 million 60,000 square-foot, three-story, multi-use medical office building adjacent to its existing surgical hospital.
“Victory Medical Center Landmark has experienced tremendous growth since its inception last year,” said Michael Urbach, president and chief operating officer of Victory Healthcare. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to further expand our Landmark location so that we may be able to better serve our patients and provide them with the highest quality healthcare possible.”
The facility is being developed by Houston real estate developer, Medistar, in conjunction with Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT, a Tampa-based Real Estate Investment Trust. Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT also owns the adjacent 84,000 square-foot Victory Medical Center building, which opened in 2013. Construction will be led by Metzger Construction.
The architect for the project is Kaim Associates Inc., a Houston-based architectural firm specializing in medical facilities. In addition to this new facility, Kaim Associates has designed two other hospitals for Victory Healthcare, Victory Medical Center Beaumont and Victory Medical Center Fort Worth, as well as the interior finish for Victory Medical Center Landmark, Victory Medical Center Craig Ranch and a host of other Victory Healthcare facilities.
The land for the development was purchased from IH-10/Loop 1604 Partners, the developer of the master planned community, which will include large-scale office, retail and hospitality.
The facility is slated to be ready for occupancy by next winter, with a scheduled completion date of November 2015. The new building is designed to complement the adjacent surgical hospital with the buildings curvature, materials, landscaping, covered walkway and common area finishes designed to tie the projects together.
