Video Interviewing 6 Times Faster than Phone Screening, Demonstrated in Compact Interview’s Latest Video
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 31 July 2013 -- The video shows a typical recruitment process from two perspectives and demonstrates the company’s easy to use interface.
In less than 90 seconds, viewers will see the simple two-stage process for setting up a video interview. The video, launched by Compact Interview founder, Rupert Sellers shows candidates taking the interview from various locations, in their own time.
“We wanted to take recruitment managers through the video interviewing process and answer any questions they might have,” commented Sellers.
Viewers join two recruitment managers, Jack and Sarah who are both recruiting a new sales manager. Jack and Sarah have posted job adverts, assessed CVs and are ready to begin screening candidates. While Sarah enjoys the speed and convenience of Compact Interview’s online video interview service, Jack follows the more traditional process of scheduling telephone interviews.
The video shows Sarah creating the interview in two easy stages using Compact Interview’s online interface, including setting questions and parameters such as time to answer interview questions and the number of attempts a candidate can make. It goes on to show candidates completing the video interview in their own time by computer and smartphone. Finally, the recruitment manager is shown receiving updates about candidate’s progress and reviewing interviews with colleagues before deciding on a shortlist for face-to-face interviews.
In contrast, Jack is shown struggling to schedule telephone screenings, often at inconvenient times. In the end, the traditional process takes six times longer and the strongest candidate drops out, a real life headache shared by many recruitment managers that prompted Sellers to set up Compact Interview.
“Video interviewing provides greater insight into candidate’s soft skills, so recruitment managers don’t have to waste time interviewing candidates who aren’t the right fit,” concluded Sellers.
