Video SFP Modules for JITC application are now available from Embrionix
Laval, Quebec (PRWEB) February 07, 2014 -- Video SFPs (emSFP) manufactured by Embrionix have been approved for Department of Defense (DoD) deployments after passing conformance and interoperability tests with Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC). The JITC certification supports potential use of equipment using video SFPs manufactured by Embrionix within the U.S. Department of Defense and related agencies.
The Embrionix video SFPs (emSFP) have been certified in accordance to the UCR 2008 change 3, Section 5.3.7 containing specific descriptions for ‘’Video Distribution System’’ to include broad-band (full-motion video) routers and/or switches.
The Embrionix video SFPs (emSFP) have been certified in collaboration with PESA’s system, the Cheetah Rel 5.1, a baseband Video Distribution Service (VDS) equipped with various video SFPs for compliance testing. The PESA equipment and the Embrionix video SFPs completed testing at JITC’s For Huachuca Test Center in the Fall of 2012 with final approval received in January 2013.
The Embrionix video SFPs (emSFP) that have been certified include: 3G-SDI video SFP, 1.5G-SDI video SFP, NTSC/PAL video SFP encoders, NTSC/PAL video SFP decoders and fiber optical video SFPs.
