The club will be located at 557 E. Bayshore Road and will be part of a larger mixed-use development to be announced in the near future. "The Bay Area has always been part of our long-term strategy, but we needed to find the right location to enter the market. Ultimately, we plan to provide a collection of premier family athletic clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area that families can enjoy wherever they may be," commented Mr. Syufy.
VillaSport will bring a unique offering to the Bay Area. It will be the first premier athletic club and spa of this size in the Bay Area that is built for the entire family. Like their other athletic clubs, VillaSport will be dedicated to providing members with an uncompromising experience in an exceptional environment through programs, amenities, and services that one would normally find at a destination family resort. In Redwood City, VillaSport will build a luxurious 130,000 square foot campus where members will enjoy lavish locker rooms with steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools, relaxation lounges, and beautiful wood lockers. Another unique club feature will be VillaKids, their dedicated children's area, where the company will offer exercise and enrichment programming for children in 15,000 square feet of space. The club will feature indoor and outdoor play areas, an art studio, a dance studio, and a basketball court. VillaSport will also offer more pools than any other club in Northern California including indoor and outdoor recreational pools, featuring waterslides and aquatic play structures. The club will also offer indoor and outdoor lap pools as well as an exclusive leisure/lap pool area for adult members. VillaSpa, the on-site full-service day spa will offer services that you would typically find at a first-class resort.
"On the fitness side, members will be able to choose from more than 175 complimentary group exercise classes each week in our five exercise studios. We will offer more than 170 state-of-the-art cardio machines with personal televisions, a dedicated weightlifting area, and a staff of fitness advisors to assist our members with their training needs. Another key feature will be our NBA-sized indoor court, which is designed for basketball, volleyball, indoor soccer, and other indoor activities."
