Virgin Produced Announces Partnership with Non-Profit Bridges for Music
LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) December 22, 2014 -- Electronic Music takes to the skies – at 35,000 feet – this month as Bridges For Music and Virgin Produced announce a new partnership to raise awareness for the lack of music resources in developing countries. The Virgin Produced Channel is airing Bridges For Music’s first short film about their work in developing countries with some of the world’s biggest DJs and Producers. Available on all Virgin America flights over this holiday season, passengers will have a chance to view Richie Hawtin and Skrillex lend their time to this young non-profit as they share a special story of music education in Langa, Cape Town, South Africa.

The collaboration highlights the influence of one of the fastest growing music genres, Electronic Dance Music (EDM), through a snapshot of the daily life of Siphe Fassie, a talented young musician in the Langa Township of South Africa.
“We believe that the heart behind great dance music is a desire to see fellow musicians thrive through innovation and access to resources,” said Valentino Barriosetta, Executive Director of Bridges For Music.
“Virgin Produced, like Bridges For Music, believes in enriching lives and creating new opportunities for people to follow their dreams. By partnering with Bridges for Music, we are encouraging direct contributions to provide resources, equipment and mentorship time needed by young musicians in some of the most underserved areas in the world,” stated Jason Felts, CEO of Virgin Produced.
“Since its inception in 2012, the Virgin Produced Channel has worked to create fresh, funny and innovative content. Using the creative approach of Virgin Produced to push the envelope in global philanthropy is a natural fit and so we are thrilled to be highlighted for the social good coming from the Dance Music culture," stated Barrioseta.
