VirtualAirBoss Integrates Lockheed Martin’s DUATS II for Flight Safety
Mountain View, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2015 -- At the NASA UTM 2015 Convention, SmartC2, creator of the VirtualAirBoss™, is demonstrating the integration with Lockheed Martin’s DUATS II for air safety. DUATS II allows pilots to use the Internet to access flight services, such as weather and flight planning information. The browser-based VirtualAirBoss system embeds the DUATS II integration into business and compliance processes, which means that operators of a fleet of manned and unmanned aircraft can access the same system for flight services information for the entire fleet, e.g., weather, NOTAMs, TFRs and other flight safety data.
VirtualAirBoss also connects to the NASA UTM system (now in beta) to provide a geo-fence around proposed UAS flight trajectories, as part of the end to end operational workflow designed for commercial aviation businesses.
According to Stuart Rudolph, President of SmartC2, “VirtualAirBoss brings together in one system all of the information an aviation businessperson needs to operate their business safely and in compliance, and DUATS II is a key piece of that workflow.”
“Lockheed Martin is dedicated to providing safety and critical flight planning information for the general aviation community,” said Paul Engola, vice president of Transportation and Financial Solutions for Lockheed Martin’s Information Systems & Global Solutions. “We are pleased to offer pilots the additional benefit of DUATS II online offering, by integrating with VirtualAirBoss.”
