VirtualPBX Launched Earth Day E-Waste Reduction Plan
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) April 23, 2015 -- VirtualPBX announced today that it has launched a web-based educational resource specifically tailored for the reduction of electronic waste. The compendium includes information from the Environmental Protection Agency delineating the harmful materials used in the products that become e-waste, price estimators that help readers appraise the value of outdated technology, and location assistance for identifying the nearest, certified e-waste recycling facilities in each of the 50 United States of America.
“VirtualPBX is fortunate to have an active and healthy workforce that enjoys all of the natural beauty that our Northern California home has to offer,” said Lon Baker, VirtualPBX COO. “We are passionate about what we do at work, as much as at play, and so working to preserve the pristine wonder of our backyard, and frankly of backyards everywhere, is something we feel compelled to do.”
VirtualPBX has partnered with the manufacturers of their VoIP desk phone and conference phone offerings in efforts to arrange responsible e-waste reduction and disposal practices, but this is the first time they have reached out to the end users to promote environmental stewardship.
“Getting our customers involved in protecting and prolonging the world’s precious metals will help keep production costs low, keep harmful materials out of landfills, and provides abundant positive social capital for them to use in their communities,” added Baker.
