ViSalus ‘Global Giving Day’ on November 19th Helped the Vi Family Give Back in Communities Around the World
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 23, 2016 -- To help families in need during this season of giving ViSalus, Inc., also known as Vi, challenged their community through their Vi Cares Program to come together to make a difference on November 19th, Global Giving Day. Thousands gave back, whether it was making a donation of Vi Product to help those in need, holding an event to help initiate an even larger affect on their community, or simple acts of service like donating clothes or raking a neighbor’s leaves. Stories were shared all over social media through #ViCares & #GlobalGivingDay this past Saturday.
Vi Cares provides the Vi Community an opportunity to share the benefits of living a healthier lifestyle to kids and families in need around the world. Vi Cares has over 400 charity partners that receive donations throughout the year thanks to the Vi Community, including a national partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Donations are raised any time a Vi Customer completes a health Challenge, or makes a direct donation of product online.
“At ViSalus, we are proud to have donated over 5 and a half million meals to families in need,” said Blake Mallen, Vi Co-Founder and President. “The idea behind Global Giving Day was to have our community experience the impact they’ve made through the donations and inspire them to continue giving back. Vi Promoter Bill Nissen held a Global Giving Day event in his hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa where he gathered donations to honor two families in need from his local Boys & Girls Club. “My wife and I are very passionate about giving back, and it’s why we love the Vi Cares program,” said Nissen. “ViSalus has done so much to provide ways to give back through their giving programs and it was so rewarding being able to bless these families in need with food during this holiday season. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room when we handed those donations over. I can’t wait for the next Global Giving Day!”
