Visiona Technologica Espacial SA Using AGI Software for SGDCSystem Design
Exton, PA (PRWEB) January 15, 2014 -- Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI), the producer of commercial modeling and analysis software for the space, defense and intelligence communities, together with its partner in Brazil, Anacom, today announced that Visiona Technology Espacial SA is using its Systems Tool Kit (STK) software in support of Brazil’s Defense and Strategic Communications Geostationary Satellite (SGDC) system. SGDC will provide communications for the Brazilian Ministry of Defense and broadband services for the Ministry of Telecommunications. Visiona, a joint venture between Telebras Telecomunicaçoes Brasileiras S.A. and Embraer Defense & Security, is employing STK for satellite orbit design, communications links and communications coverage analysis. SGDC-1 will be built by Thales Alenia Space and launched by Ariane 5 in 2016.
“STK provides key simulation capabilities for any space systems engineering organization and will be an important asset in Visiona’s Engineering department toolbox. As the Brazilian space systems integrator, Visiona shall rely heavily on it not only on the SGDC program but also on the design of future Brazilian space missions,” says Himilcon Carvalho, Visiona technology director.
