Vital Vio, Inc. Affirms Proprietary Position of its LED White Light Disinfection™ Technology
TROY, N.Y. (PRWEB) December 06, 2017 -- Vital Vio, Inc., the health care solutions company that has reinvented disinfection with its VioSafe™ LEDs, issued the following statement in response to recent claims by Kenall Manufacturing:
The recent suggestion by Kenall Manufacturing - made in a November 28, 2017 press release - that it is “the exclusive licensee for markets in North America” for the use of visible light to safely disinfect environments, is not supported by facts.
As a result of Vital Vio’s firm and ongoing commitment to research and discovery; Vital Vio has been awarded three U.S. Patents for our innovative White Light Disinfection™ technologies, platforms, and products, with numerous additional patents pending. Vital Vio is the sole owner of all of its intellectual property portfolio. As is common in a competitive business market, there are multiple patent owners and not one exclusive operator in the visible light disinfection market.
Vital Vio’s research-tested proprietary technology has been licensed to industry leaders that manufacture lighting solutions in health care, athletics, hospitality, education, emergency vehicle, and other market sectors. Many of our partners are poised to bring new products to market that integrate our White Light Disinfection™ technology, thereby providing customers the opportunity to install lights that multi-task to kill germs while safely illuminating indoor spaces.
The fact is, Vital Vio and its other licensing partners operate under Vital Vio’s next generation and most commercially relevant proprietary technology, which is distinct and unrelated to the patent referenced in Kenall’s recently filed lawsuits. Kenall is fully aware of this distinction having previously dismissed a lawsuit between itself and Vital Vio over the same patent cited in the recently filed complaint. Vital Vio is not named in the recent Kenall complaint.
